A new variant of the Firefight multiplayer game mode, which was first introduced in Halo 3: ODST, is now available in Halo Infinite Matchmaking and Custom Games. FIREFIGHT CUSTOM GAME BROWSER
Players can now join custom Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach Firefight sessions in a new Firefight Custom Game Browser (CGB). Various Firefight settings can be customized prior to the start of each match, including the number of enemy waves, the types of enemies that spawn during each wave, weapon loadouts, and much more.

On January 13, 2022, Xbox 360 game servers for Halo games were turned off (sunsetting the service). This means that while these games can still be played, online services such as challenges and file share are no longer available.
This only affects Xbox 360 versions of the game. Games in Halo: The Master Chief Collection will not be impacted.
