Some players on Steam may be incorrectly prompted to sign in each time they launch Halo: Campaign Evolved. Follow the troubleshooting steps below to potentially resolve this issue and remain signed in between sessions.
Removing Sign in Credentials
- On your Windows taskbar, select the Windows icon or search bar, if available.
- Search for and select Credential Manager.
- Select Windows Credentials to the right.
- Navigate to the Generic Credentials section.
- For every item that begins with Xbl|2043073184:
- Select the item.
- Select Remove.
- Select Yes in the pop-up.
Launch Halo: Campaign Evolved and check to see if the sign-in process has started from the beginning.
Please note that this may sign you out of most or all XBOX network sign-ins on your PC.
Clearing Steam Browser Cookies & Cache
- Open Steam.
- Select Steam in the top-left corner.
- Select Settings in the dropdown menu.
- Select In Game in the left-hand sidebar.
- Select Delete Web browser Data.
- Select Confirm.
Launch Halo: Campaign Evolved and check to see if the sign-in process has started from the beginning.
Clearing Steam Download Cache
- Open Steam.
- Select Steam in the top-left corner.
- Select Settings in the dropdown menu.
- Select Downloads in the left-hand sidebar.
- Navigate to Clear Download Cache, and select Clear Cache to the right.
- Select Confirm.
You will need to login to Steam again after clearing your download cache. Then launch Halo: Campaign Evolved and check to see if the sign-in process has started from the beginning.
