Installing & Uninstalling Halo: Campaign Evolved

This article covers installing and uninstalling Halo: Campaign Evolved on XBOX Series X|S, PlayStation®5, and multiple PC storefronts, as well as how to purchase if needed.

Installing    

Make sure you are signed in to the account that purchased Halo: Campaign Evolved before you try to install it. If you are signed in to a different account, the game may not appear in your library or may not be available to install.

Choose one of the following methods for installation, based on your platform of choice: 

XBOX Series X|S 

XBOX Store

• From the XBOX home screen, select Store from the top of the screen.  
• In the Store menu, select the Search tile.  
• Enter Halo: Campaign Evolved and press the Menu button.
• Find and select Halo: Campaign Evolved.  

If you own Halo: Campaign Evolved:

• Select MANAGE – You own this. You will be taken to the install options.  
• Select the checkbox for Halo: Campaign Evolved.  
• Select INSTALL on the right.  

If you do not own Halo: Campaign Evolved:

• You will see multiple editions available for purchase.  
• Select the edition you want to purchase.

• Complete the transaction process.  
  • Once you complete the transaction, Halo: Campaign Evolved will begin installing automatically.  

XBOX Game Pass

Halo: Campaign Evolved is available for XBOX Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

• From the XBOX home screen, select Game Pass from the top of the screen.  
• In the XBOX Game Pass menu, you will see a Search tile.  
• Enter and search for Halo: Campaign Evolved.  
• Select INSTALL – Included with Game Pass. Halo: Campaign Evolved will begin installing.

PlayStation®5

If you own Halo: Campaign Evolved:

• Navigate to Game Library from the top row of tiles.  
• Find and select Halo: Campaign Evolved.  
• Select Download. Halo: Campaign Evolved will begin installing.

If you do not own Halo: Campaign Evolved:

• Navigate to and select the PlayStation®Store.  
• Select the Search icon (magnifying glass) in the top right.  
• In the search bar at the top, enter Halo: Campaign Evolved.  
• Select the button that displays a price.  
  • This will not purchase the game. It will open a new menu where you can choose between the Standard and Premium Editions.  
• Select the edition you would like to purchase.

• Select Confirm Purchase.  
• Complete the transaction process.  
  • Once you complete the transaction, Halo: Campaign Evolved will begin installing automatically.  

Steam

• On your Windows taskbar, select the Windows icon or search bar, if available.  
• Search for Steam.  
• Select and open Steam.  
  • If you do not have Steam installed and need assistance, visit Installing Steam | Steam Support. 

If you own Halo: Campaign Evolved:

• Select LIBRARY in the top left.  
• Select Halo: Campaign Evolved from the left side bar.  
• Select the blue INSTALL button.  
• Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.  

If you do not own Halo: Campaign Evolved:

• Select STORE in the top left.  
• Enter Halo: Campaign Evolved in the search bar at the top-center.  
• Select Halo: Campaign Evolved.  
• You will be taken to the game’s store page. Navigate down to Halo: Campaign Evolved Editions.  
• Select the edition you want to purchase.

• After completing the transaction, select LIBRARY in the top left.  
• Select Halo: Campaign Evolved.  
• Select the blue INSTALL button.  
• Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.  

XBOX App PC

• On your Windows taskbar, select the Windows icon or search bar, if available.
• Search for XBOX.
• Select and open the XBOX app.
  • If you are missing the XBOX app, visit Get XBOX app.
• In the top search bar, enter Halo: Campaign Evolved.

If you own Halo: Campaign Evolved:

• Select the edition you own from the search results preview.
• Select Install.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.

If you do not own Halo: Campaign Evolved:

• Select the edition you would like to purchase from the search results preview.  
  • To compare editions, select an edition from the search results preview, then scroll down to Compare editions. To compare editions online, visit our Halo: Campaign Evolved Editions guide.
• Select Buy.  
• Complete the transaction process.  
  • Once you complete the transaction, Halo: Campaign Evolved will begin downloading automatically.  

XBOX Game Pass

For XBOX Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass PC members, you can download and install the standard edition of Halo: Campaign Evolved using the XBOX App PC steps above.  

For players using Game Pass, the Halo: Campaign Evolved Premium Edition Upgrade is available for purchase:

• Enter & select Halo: Campaign Evolved Premium Edition Upgrade in the search bar.  
• Select Buy.  
• Complete the transaction process.
• Select Install.  
• Follow the on-screen prompts to begin installing Halo: Campaign Evolved.

Microsoft Store PC

• On your Windows taskbar, select the Windows icon or search bar, if available.
• Search for Microsoft Store.  

If you own Halo: Campaign Evolved:

• Select Library in the bottom left.  
• Locate Halo: Campaign Evolved.  
• If you are having trouble, select Games in the top left to filter your programs to games only.  
• Select the download button (Cloud Icon) on the right side.  
• Halo: Campaign Evolved will begin installing.  
  • To monitor the download, select Downloads in the bottom left.  

If you do not own Halo: Campaign Evolved:

• In the search bar at the top, enter Halo: Campaign Evolved.  
• Select the edition you would like to purchase.

• Select Buy.
• Complete the transaction process.  
  • When the transaction is complete, Halo: Campaign Evolved will begin installing automatically.  

Uninstalling

Uninstalling the game removes local game files from your device, but it does not delete your saved progression. Your unlocked missions, discovered collectibles, and other critical progression will remain tied to your account. Some temporary progress, such as mid-mission checkpoints, may be lost.

The following sections cover how to uninstall Halo: Campaign Evolved, based on your platform of choice. 
 

XBOX Series X|S

• From the home screen, select My games & apps from the top of the screen.  
• In the Games section, find and select Halo: Campaign Evolved.  
• Select Manage (controller with gear icon).  
• Select Uninstall all.  
• Select Uninstall all again to confirm. Halo: Campaign Evolved will then be uninstalled from your console.  

PlayStation®5

• From the home screen, select Settings in the top-right corner.  
• Select Storage.  
• Select Console Storage, or Extended Storage if the files are stored on an external device.  
• Select Games and Apps.  
• Under the Delete Content section, select Halo: Campaign Evolved.  
• Select OK in the pop-up.  
• Select Delete in the bottom right. Halo: Campaign Evolved will then be uninstalled from your console.  

Steam

• Select LIBRARY in the top left.  
• Right-click Halo: Campaign Evolved from the left side bar.  
• Hover over Manage.  
• Select Uninstall.  
• Select the blue Uninstall button to confirm. Halo: Campaign Evolved will then be uninstalled from your computer.  

XBOX App PC

• On your Windows taskbar, select the Windows icon or search bar, if available.  
• Search for XBOX.  
• Select and open the XBOX app.  
• Select My Library on the left side bar.  
• Find and select Halo: Campaign Evolved.
• Select the three dots icon (...) [More actions button].
• Select Uninstall.  
• Select Uninstall again to confirm. Halo: Campaign Evolved will then be uninstalled from your computer.  

Microsoft Store PC

• In your Windows taskbar, select the Windows icon or search bar if available, and search for Settings.  
• In Settings, select Apps from the lefthand categories.  
• Select Installed apps.  
• Locate Halo: Campaign Evolved or type Halo: Campaign Evolved in the Search apps search bar.  
• Select the three dots (...) on the righthand side beside the game’s file size.  
• Select Uninstall.  
• Select Uninstall again to confirm. Halo: Campaign Evolved will then be uninstalled from your computer.
