Problem

When signing in on the Steam version of Halo Infinite, the Microsoft sign-in window becomes stuck in a loop or freezes. The Halo Infinite menu behind the sign-in window does not freeze when this issue occurs but cannot be interacted with.
This can be caused by accidentally entering incorrect account information, causing the sign-in window to freeze or its buttons not responding. Halo Infinite on the Xbox app or Microsoft Store app does not experience this issue.

Possible workaround 1: Delete browser cookies and cache in Steam settings

Open the Steam app
Select Steam and select Settings
Go to Web Browser
Select Delete Web browser cache
Select Ok to delete all files in the built-in web browser cache
Select Delete all browser cookies
Select Ok to clear all Steam browser cookie data
Launch Halo Infinite and check to see if the sign-in process has started from the beginning.

In the Windows Search bar, enter "Credential Manager", and select Credential Manager to open it.
Select Windows Credentials.
Scroll down to the section labeled Generic Credentials.
For every item that has "Xbl|2043073184" in the title:
- Click on the item to expand it
- Select Remove
- Confirm you wish to delete that item
Launch Halo Infinite and check to see if the sign-in process has started from the beginning.
- Note: This may sign you out of most or all Xbox network sign-ins on your PC.
