Season 3 Overview and New Features

This update brings new content, numerous bug fixes, and several new features to Halo Infinite. For a full list of this update’s bug fixes, see the Resolved Issues section below. New features and content included in this update are:

New Battle Pass and Armor Cores

Season 3 introduces a new 100-tier Battle Pass with over 180 rewards. Purchasing the Premium Battle Pass is required to earn all rewards, but all players will be able to unlock free tiers that include rewards like Credits, Weapon Coatings, Emblems, and customization items for one of the two new Armor Cores: MIRAGE IIC.

The MIRAGE IIC Armor Core is largely based on the Semi-Powered Infiltration (SPI) armor featured in the Eric Nylund novel Halo: Ghosts of Onyx. To learn more, visit the "Anniversary Armor" blog on Halo Waypoint.

The MIRAGE IIC Armor Core and the Chimera Armor Core, this season's new Fracture Armor Core, will both unlock immediately after Season 3 is installed. Both MIRAGE IIC and Chimera feature a set of Cadet Coatings for players to apply via the Customize menu. 

Along with the Premium Battle Pass, players can also purchase the Premium Pass Bundle, which includes 100 XP Grants. This will allow you to immediately unlock 25 Battle Pass levels. To use XP Grants in-game, follow the steps below:

1. On the main menu, select the Battle Pass tile in the top right corner of the screen. This will open the Season menu.
2. On the Season menu, use the Boosts shortcut listed along the bottom of the screen.
3. Select the XP Grant button underneath the Increase XP header.

New Premium Battle Pass Perks

Players who purchase either the Season 3 Premium Battle Pass or the Premium Pass Bundle will now earn bonus Match XP for every Multiplayer match completed during Season 3. The bonus Match XP for purchasing either Season 3 offer is awarded no matter what Battle Pass you have equipped. This bonus Match XP will end alongside the end of Season 3 and launch of Season 4.

Additionally, players who purchase either Premium Pass option will receive the new Redsteel Splinter Armor Coating for all seven Armor Cores.

Players who purchase Season 3's Premium Battle Pass or Premium Pass Bundle will instantly unlock the new Redsteel Splinter Armor Coating for all seven cores Armor Cores.

Free and Updated Armor Coatings

Steel Armor Coatings

As mentioned in the "Season 3 Customization" blog on Halo Waypoint, three new Armor Coatings are now available for free on all seven Armor Cores:

• Steel Blue
• Steel Red
• Steel Sage

Like the Cadet Armor Coatings introduced in the December 2022 update, the Steel Armor Coatings are available to both new and returning players for free, regardless of whether they purchased previous Premium Battle Passes or participated in the associated limited-time events.

New Cadet Coatings

Two new Cadet Coatings have been added to all seven armor cores: Cadet Red and Cadet Olive. As with the Steel Armor Coatings and the existing Cadet Coatings, these Armor Coatings are available to all players on all Armor Cores for free. 

Because the Cadet Red Armor Coating is now available, the following Armor Coatings have been updated:

• Scarlet Empress
• Scarlet Skies
• Scarlet Wake

The Armor Coatings listed above were previously available in the Halo Infinite Shop and used the Cadet Red Armor Coating palette. To better differentiate these coatings from Cadet Red, the following changes have been made to the Scarlet Armor Coatings:

• Armor pieces are now a deeper shade of red.
• Trim pieces that were previously dark grey are now polished silver.

All players who purchased any of the three updated Scarlet Armor Coatings will now have both the Cadet Red and the applicable updated Armor Coatings. To see comparisons between the Cadet Red and the updated Scarlet Armor Coatings, visit the "Season 3 Customization" blog on Halo Waypoint.

Shred Shift Armor Coatings

As mentioned in the "Season 1 Outcomes Report - Live" blog on Halo Waypoint, the Red Shift Armor Coating received feedback that it did not look like its initial render from 2020. With the Season 3 update, players who have unlocked the Red Shift Armor Coating will now have an additional Armor Coating for the MARK VII Armor Core: Shred Shift. The Shred Shift Armor Coating better reflects the initial render of the Red Shift Armor Coating.

Watchdog Neo Armor and Weapon Coating

The Watchdog Neo Armor Coating, which was revealed in the Holiday Community Livestream, is now available to players who reached SR 152 in Halo 5: Guardians. This updated Armor Coating is available on all Armor Cores and will not replace the existing Watchdog Armor Coating, which remains available to all players who reached SR 152.

Alongside these changes, Watchdog Neo is now also available as a Weapon Coating for both the M392 Bandit and S7 Sniper. 

Free Helmet Attachments

All players who sign into Halo Infinite during Season 3 will receive the following helmet attachments for free: 

• MK62 CBRN/ISES helmet attachment, which is compatible with the following MARK VII helmet:
  
  • FIREFALL
• UA/TYPE O5 helmet attachment, which is compatible with the following MARK V [B] helmets:
  • Mark V [B]
  • CQC
  • HAZOP
  • Air Assault
  • JFO
  • ODST
  • Recon

To equip a helmet attachment, follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to the Customize tab of the main menu.
2. Select Armor Hall.
3. Select your preferred Armor Core then select the Core's helmet slot.
4. While viewing your equipped helmet, use the shortcut listed along the bottom of the screen to enter the Inspect menu. 
5. On the Inspect menu, use the shortcuts underneath the helmet's name to switch to the Attachments tab. 
6. The Attachments tab shows all helmet attachments that are compatible with the currently selected helmet. Use the arrows next to the attachment tiles to navigate between locked and unlocked attachments. Use the Equip button to apply your preferred attachment.

New Equipment: Shroud Screen

When activated, the Shroud Screen equipment launches a spherical, holographic cloud of smoke that obstructs the view of players both inside and outside its area of effect. Much like the Threat Sensor, the Shroud Screen serves as a projectile that players can fire wherever they want. When looking into or out of the Shroud Screen's hologram, players' reticles will not turn red to indicate that an enemy is in their line of sight.

Enemies within the Shroud Screen's hologram will not be detected by Motion Trackers, but they can be revealed by a well-placed Threat Sensor.

The Shroud Screen is only available in Halo Infinite Multiplayer and will spawn on Equipment Pads placed throughout various maps, including existing maps released prior to Season 3. The Shroud Screen is also available for in Custom Games, Forge, and Academy's Training Mode.   

The new rotating playlist, New Arena Unlimited, features several map and mode combinations that include the Shroud Screen. Additionally, the Shroud Screen is featured in an Escalation Slayer loadout. 

New Weapon: M392 Bandit

The M392 Bandit is a new Kinetic weapon available for players to use in Halo Infinite matchmaking, Custom Games, Forge, and Academy. The Bandit is a semi-automatic tactical rifle that's most effective during mid-ranged encounters.

The M392 Bandit can be customized in the Weapon Bench menu.

A new Bandit-only variant of Tactical Slayer has been added to the Tactical Slayer matchmaking playlist. The Bandit is also featured in an Escalation Slayer loadout. Additionally, the new rotating playlist, New Arena Unlimited, features several map and mode combinations that include the M392 Bandit.

Upcoming Events

Event dates listed here are subject to change. Please stay tuned to the News section of Halo Waypoint for the latest updates on in-game events.

Echoes Within Narrative Events – Mindfall and Site Unseen

Season 3 will feature two separate Echoes Within events. These narrative events will each last two weeks and feature different 10-item Event Passes. The first of these events, Mindfall, will run March 7-21, 2023. Stay tuned to the News section of Halo Waypoint for the latest updates on the Site Unseen event.

To earn items in either Event Pass, players must complete Event Challenges while the event is active. Event Challenges can be identified by the orange banner icon visible by the Challenge's name. These challenges will often require players to complete matches or perform certain actions in the event playlist. 

Fracture: Firewall

Season 3's Fracture event will provide players with multiple weeklong opportunities to complete Event Challenges in the new Escalation Slayer mode and earn up to 20 rewards. While the Season 3 Battle Pass features customization items for the MIRAGE IIC Armor Core, the free Fracture: Firewall Event Pass features customization items for the Chimera Armor Core. Similar to the Echoes Within events, these customization items can only be earned by completing Event Challenges while the event is active.

The Chimera Armor Core can be customized by navigating to the Armor Hall menu found in the main menu's Customize tab.

This event will be active four times over the course of the whole season, with the first instance occurring March 21-28, 2023. Stay tuned to the News section of Halo Waypoint for the latest updates on when Fracture: Firewall will return.

New Multiplayer Game Modes

Escalation Slayer

Escalation Slayer is a brand-new multiplayer mode available for all players via Matchmaking and Custom Games. Mode variants for Escalation Slayer include Arena, Free-for-All (FFA), and Big Team Battle (BTB).

The final weapon level for Escalation Slayer is the Oddball.

Game Mode Rules:

• In Escalation Slayer, two teams of four players work to eliminate members of the opposing team and work their way up a ladder of weapon loadouts. 
• Eliminating an enemy team member rewards 100 XP towards the next weapon loadout. Each team's progress towards the next weapon loadout is tracked on a pair of bars located near the bottom center of the screen. Once 500 XP is earned by a team, all team members will level up to the next weapon loadout displayed by their progress bar. 
  • Players are given a 10-second window to either manually level up to the next weapon loadout by hitting the designated button/key or they will automatically level up after the 10 seconds have passed.
• In total, your team is required to get 55 kills over the course of 11 weapon loadouts. The first team to get 5 kills with the final weapon loadout wins the match.

Tactical Slayer – Bandit

A new Bandit-only variant of Tactical Slayer is now available for all players via the Tactical Slayer matchmaking playlist. Tactical Slayer follows the same rules as regular Slayer, except shields and motion trackers are disabled.

New Rotating Playlists

In addition to the new modes listed above, several new playlists will begin to rotate in and out of Halo Infinite's matchmaking. The first new rotational playlist of the season is New Arena Unlimited. This playlist highlights all of the new Arena content releasing in Season 3, such as weapons, modes, and maps.

• Escalation Slayer on Chasm
• Capture the Flag (CTF) on Chasm
• King of the Hill on Chasm
• Slayer on Chasm
• Strongholds on Chasm
• Fiesta Slayer on Chasm
• Escalation Slayer on Cliffhanger
• Slayer on Cliffhanger
• King of the Hill on Cliffhanger
• One Flag CTF on Cliffhanger
• Strongholds on Cliffhanger
• Fiesta Slayer on Cliffhanger

New Arena Unlimited will be available for one week, before it is replaced by New BTB Unlimited on March 14, 2023. Much like New Arena Unlimited, this playlist will feature all of the new Big Team Battle content in Season 3.

To play the New Arena Unlimited playlist, select Multiplayer on the main menu then select it from the scrolling list of playlist options.

New Multiplayer Maps

Arena: Chasm

A new Arena multiplayer map, Chasm, is now available in Custom Games and various matchmaking playlists. In Chasm, players will battle across a long, suspended walkway deep within a Forerunner complex.

Arena: Cliffhanger

A new Arena multiplayer map, Cliffhanger, is now available in Custom Games and various Matchmaking playlists. On Cliffhanger, players will fight in an asymmetrical ONI outpost, hidden atop a snowy cliffside.

Big Team Battle (BTB): Oasis

Oasis, a new Big Team Battle (BTB) multiplayer map, is now available via Custom Games and various matchmaking playlists. On Oasis, players will compete in an asymmetrical UNSC outpost located in a remote, desert landscape.

New Forge Features

Editing 343 Industries Maps (Beta)

Players can now edit their own custom versions of Multiplayer maps developed by 343 Industries using Forge. By removing certain obstacles on these maps, players can open up new areas and pathways that weren't available in the default versions.

A limited number of pre-existing map objects can be manipulated, while certain elements of the map cannot be edited. For example, pre-existing lighting, navigation mesh for AI bots, audio, and reflection volume data cannot be rebuilt or changed. Using objects that rely on or normally change lighting, navigation mesh, audio, or reflection volume data might yield unexpected results. Script data is built once the map has loaded or when players enter Play mode.

Some maps, such as Bazaar, can be expanded in Forge.

New Supported Game Modes and Gameplay Objects

Two new game modes and gameplay objects are now available for players to utilize in Forge. Players can now create custom game modes and maps based on Land Grab and Total Control. In addition, players can now add the Invisible Gravity Lift and Invisible Kinetic Launcher objects to their Forge maps.

Both of these objects will appear visible to players while in Monitor Mode but will be invisible in Custom Games.

Automatic Version History Notes for Metadata Changes

When updating the metadata (such as the name, description, and tags) of Forge assets, notes are automatically generated in the Version History menu. The Version History menu can be accessed via the file's Details menu.

Player Outline & Collision Options in Custom Games

Players will now have the option to enable friendly and enemy outlines in Custom Games via the Mode Editor menu. Changes to these options will override individual Outline settings for all players in the Custom Game lobby.

The Player and Vehicle Outlines options can be found in the HUD tab of the Mode Editor menu.

In addition, players can now adjust whether friendly players in Custom Games will be able to collide with one another or pass through each other. Changes to this setting will not affect enemy collision, which is always on by default. 

The Friendly Player Collision option can be found in the Movement tab of the Mode Editor menu.

Menu Improvements

Several changes and enhancements have been made to numerous menus within Halo Infinite. This includes:

Shop Improvements

New Offer Types

Prior to Season 3, the Halo Infinite Shop contained weekly and daily offers. Weekly offers rotated every Tuesday at 11 AM PST or 10 AM PDT. With the launch of Season 3, new half-week offers will be available in the Shop. These offers will rotate every Tuesday and Friday. 

Additionally, new "super bundles" will be available in the Shop. Super bundles contain multiple traditional bundles for a discounted price. Once these super bundles rotate out of the Shop, the included items will be split into separate bundles with a different price. User Interface (UI) Improvements

Various improvements have been made to the item tiles in the Shop tab in Halo Infinite. These improvements include:

• A white banner with a magnifying glass and package icon indicates that the tile is a bundle. The number on this white banner displays the number of items included in that bundle.
• A yellow triangle in the upper right corner indicates that a tile's item or bundle is new to the Halo Infinite Shop. If a tile does not have a yellow triangle in the top right corner, it has appeared in the Shop before.
• A number of different banners may now appear over a tile's price to indicate its offer type. These banners include: 
  • Daily
  • Best Value
  • Event
  • New 
  • Returning
  • Sale

A new "Quick Look" shortcut has also been added to the Halo Infinite Shop menu. When hovering over a tile in the Shop, use the Quick Look shortcut listed along the bottom of the screen to quickly view the contents of a bundle.

Selecting a bundle in the Shop menu opens the Inspect menu. The Inspect menu has also been updated to show more item tiles at once. 

Post-Game Carnage Report (PGCR) UI Improvements

New improvements have been made to the Post-Game Carnage Report. Visual updates can now be seen in the Player Recap tab, including new shades added to the Medal tiles that indicate how rare each Medal is.

In addition, team statistics now appear in the Team Lineup tab. Whenever you select a player from the Team Lineup menu, their Nameplate and Backdrop, as well as an arrow will appear above the character model of the player you select from your team.

Other UI Improvements

In addition to the new Season 3: Echoes Within loading screens and Battle Pass menu, the following menu improvements have been implemented:

• Visual changes to progression trackers for Events and Battle Passes.
• Some in-game text is now easier to read and text scrolling has been improved.
• The main menu, Campaign menu, and Multiplayer menu have new background scenes.
• When a Multiplayer Event is ongoing, players will be able to access the Schedule View via a shortcut listed on the bottom of the Event Rewards menu. The Schedule View provides players with information on all past and upcoming instances of the current Multiplayer Event.

The Campaign menu has also been updated, and now shows the Master Chief in a Pelican's cargo bay.

Raytraced Sun Shadows (PC only)

Players on PC are now able to toggle Raytraced Sun Shadows from the Settings menu. When this feature is enabled, all shadows cast by the sun will appear more detailed in multiplayer gameplay. The Raytraced Sun Shadows option does not apply to the Halo Infinite Campaign.

To enable Raytraced Sun Shadows, follow the steps below:

1. Launch Halo Infinite.
2. Navigate to Settings. The default bindings for which are F1 on keyboard and the Menu button on controller.
3. Navigate to the Video tab.
4. Scroll down to the Raytracing header and set the Raytraced Sun Shadows option to the preferred setting.

Ray Tracing requires DXR Tier 1.1 support and functions with AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series and later, as well as GeForce RTX 2000 Series and later. If your hardware does not support Ray Tracing, the option will be grayed out in the Video settings menu.

This option will be available on Xbox Series X in a future update for Halo Infinite.

New Localization Support

Improvements have been made to numerous localizations of Halo Infinite. The following languages now have full menu text and subtitle localization:

• Danish
• Finnish
• Norwegian
• Portuguese (Portugal)

In addition, players can now enable Russian menu text, subtitles, and voice-over lines during cutscenes and active gameplay.

As mentioned in the "Playlists & Ranked Matchmaking | Season 3" blog, player ranks in Halo Infinite have been reset for Season 3. This reset comes alongside a new batch of emblem rewards that players can earn as they work their way up the ranks. Additionally, the number of placement matches needed to earn your initial Rank has been reduced from 10 to 5.

Balance Changes

Plasma Pistol

The Plasma Pistol's charge time has been increased, and the tracking of the charged shot is now less aggressive. 

VK78 Commando Rifle

The Commando Rifle now requires 9 consecutive shots to break a player's shields.

Starting Ammo (Ranked only)

In Ranked matches, the amount of starting ammo for the CQS48 Bulldog, Shock Rifle, Heatwave, and Stalker Rifle has been reduced. Their starting ammo counts for both Ranked and Social playlists are listed below:

Resolved Issues and Bug Fixes

Many improvements come from Halo Insider and Halo Support tickets submitted by our community. Thank you for participating and please keep submitting tickets!

Halo Support tickets help the team here at 343 Industries understand what issues you would like to see addressed in future Halo Infinite updates. The development team is actively working on a variety of game updates and improvements based on both player feedback and bug report tickets.

Global

• While playing on PC at 60 frames per second (FPS), players using a controller will now experience haptic feedback (controller rumble) while sliding.
• Improvements to online service connections after re-entering Halo Infinite from a suspended state or via Quick Resume on Xbox Series X|S consoles. Players should see more stable reconnections to our services.
• Players can now pause cinematic cutscenes during both Campaign and Academy.

Multiplayer

Gameplay

• The Weapon Racks in both the Recharge and Detachment maps now spawn the correct Power Weapons. Both maps have returned to the Ranked Arena playlist alongside the Season 3 update.
• Players can no longer continuously revive each other inside the Danger Zone during an Elimination match.
• The level geometry of the map Aquarius has been adjusted so that players can no longer see through some walls.
• Players are no longer able stand on top of invisible ledges in the Breaker map.
• Players can no longer shoot rockets through the bottom of the maintenance door in the Launch Site map.
• Players can no longer throw grenades through the ground while playing in the Yard area of the map Live Fire.
• Improvements have been made to weapon, enemy footstep, and environmental audio during multiplayer gameplay.
• Multiple networking improvements have been made to address desync during online Multiplayer sessions:
  • Rubberbanding is less likely to occur when moving or sprinting immediately after a match starts.
  • Ammo, Equipment, and Grenades counts are more consistent after entering and exiting a vehicle.
  • On the map Behemoth, players are now less likely to experience rubberbanding while using the Grappleshot to pick up a weapon from a Power Weapon pad.
  • Vehicles are now less likely to desync when players use the Repulsor against them.
  • Melee attacks are now more likely to register while holding a Power Seed.

Visual

• The Oddball now appears consistently when using the "Oddball Champion" Stance.
• The animation for charging a Plasma Pistol shot is no longer delayed compared to the charge meter on the reticle (crosshairs).
• Improvements have been made to the intro and outro of both the Argyle and Detachment Multiplayer maps.
• The health bar now consistently appears at the top of the player's HUD after joining a game of Tactical Slayer that is already in progress.
• Players will no longer experience extremely bright lighting while playing on the multiplayer maps Argyle and Detachment.
• The damage and explosion visual effects for the Ghost have been improved to now better reflect the vehicle's state at further distances. 
• After loading into a Forge map in Custom Games with dark lighting, any reflective objects spawned on the map will now have consistent lighting effects.
• While playing Custom Games in split-screen, lighting effects for Forge maps now appear correctly on both players' screens.
• When playing Custom Games across multiple different Forge maps, objects used on an earlier map will no longer maintain their swatch and color on the next map.

Audio

• The volume of other players using a nearby Kinetic Launcher or Gravity Lift has been increased.
• Voice lines and other players firing weapons now have less of an impact on the volume of firing your own weapon.
• The volume of both projectiles barely missing the player and the volume of projectiles impacting a nearby surface has been increased.
• Slight adjustments to various sound effects for the following weapons and equipment: 
  • Cindershot
  • Plasma Pistol
  • BR75 Battle Rifle
  • VK78 Commando Rifle
  • Sidekick
  • Heatwave
  • Repulsor
• Voice lines now have less of an impact on the volume of melee and grenade explosion sound effects. 
• Sound effects for nearby but non-damaging explosions are now slightly more detailed.  
• To provide flanking players with more confidence that their footsteps are not revealing their location to others, the following adjustments and improvements have been made to traversal sound effects:
  • Reduced the max distance at which players can hear enemy footsteps.
  • The volume of nearby enemy footsteps has been increased. 
  • Enemy footsteps are now affected by a "Focus" feature. This Focus feature will allow for out-of-sight enemies to have a better chance at flanking players. 
  • Enemy footsteps now sound more muffled when obstructed from the player's point of view. Additionally, the volume of obstructed enemy footsteps has been adjusted to better reflect when enemies are at a different height (i.e. a lower or higher floor of the space).
  • New sound effects for obstructed footsteps have been added to provide a more realistic sense of whether enemies are in another room. 
  • Additional surface sound effects have been implemented so that enemy footsteps are less repetitive.

Accessibility

• After enabling Speech to Text (STT), the chat window will always display the most recently sent message.

Menus

• After being promoted to Fireteam Leader, the new leader will now be able to select a Playlist on the Multiplayer menu without backing out and re-entering the menu.
• If an XP Grant is active, the correct amount of additional XP will be visually shown on the Reward screen.
• Players' selected customization items now appear correctly in the Multiplayer menu after finishing a matchmaking or Forge session.
• Players on Xbox consoles can now view the Gamertags and profile information of creators responsible for Forge content, such as Maps, Prefabs, and Game Modes.
• The amount of time it takes to load into the Battle Pass, Multiplayer, Armor Hall, Weapons Bench, and Shop menus has been reduced.
• If an XP Grant is active, the correct amount of additional XP will be visually shown on the Reward screen.
• When purchasing a Battle Pass, the confirmation screen now properly distinguishes which version is being purchased, either the Premium Battle Pass or the Premium Pass Bundle.
• If the player uses more XP Grants than necessary to reach level 100 on any Battle Pass, an error message will appear explaining that fewer XP Grants should be used.

Custom Games

• When the Fireteam Leader selects a player in the Custom Games lobby menu, they are now able to promote or boot the player via the Player Options menu.
• After rejoining a Custom Game, players will no longer have their first-person model spawn in a different location than their third-person model.

Custom Game Browser

• Multiple improvements to the Base Map and Base Mode filters, such as:
  • If players use the Base Map or Base Mode filter to modify the Custom Game Browser, then refresh the results, the Base Map and Base Mode filters will no longer revert back to their default state.
  • Using the Base Map or Base Mode filters in the Custom Game Browser menu will now return sessions with edited versions of a selected map or mode.
  • The Base Map and Mode Filters now appear in the Customs Browser menu while Halo Infinite is installing.
• Players are now able to join sessions via the Custom Games Browser more consistently.
• When joining a Custom Game Browser session after the match has ended, players will now be taken to the Custom Game lobby of that session, instead of remaining in the Custom Game Browser menu.
• In the Customs Browser menu, clearing the selected Tags no longer clears the selected Gamertags.

Theater

• The activation sound effect for Active Camo no longer replays after changing camera perspectives in Theater mode.

Forge

Edit Mode and Creation Tools

• During a Forge session, players will no longer be removed from the Fireteam when the Fireteam Leader selects the End Game option from the Pause menu.
• Improved stability of Forge sessions when players are joining an in-progress session.
• When previewing a sound for an Audio Emitter object in Forge, the previewed sound will now stop playing when the Object Properties menu is closed.
• Dynamic objects now retain their selected texture after being duplicated.
• Players can now swap between transform modes, such as scaling or rotating, while actively editing a selected object.
• After falling from a tall height in Spartan Play mode, the falling audio no longer plays once players swap to Monitor mode.
• Scaled objects will no longer revert to their original size when they are being used as part of a saved Prefab object.
• Forge sessions will no longer crash after players duplicate a Script Brain with a massive number of Node Graphs attached to it.
• Smaller objects included as part of a larger Prefab object will no longer shift after loading into a map.
• Improvements have been made to server stability while moving or duplicating Prefab objects that are made up of a large number of smaller objects.
• When entering Monitor mode, Prefab objects made up of multiple objects will no longer break apart into their individual components.
• Object textures will no longer turn black while manipulating an object.
• The Static Object Budget will now appropriately increase when new static objects are placed or duplicated.
• Objects' selected Color Spread values now appear consistent across Forge and Custom Games.

File and Map Publishing

• Collaborators will now consistently load into the latest version of the selected Forge map.
• Players can no longer bypass Copy Protection when selecting a Prefab object.
• Screenshots made for Prefab objects in the Details menu now save consistently.
• Players will now receive a warning message whenever the name or description of their Forge map, mode, or Prefab contains any restricted characters.
• Players can now consistently remove themselves as a collaborator on another player's Forge creation.
• If ownership of a map is given to a new player, they will now be able to consistently manage other collaborators.
• Forge maps will now save more consistently.
• When viewing a Bookmarked file, the File Details now display all the relevant information, such as the version number, published state, and creator name.

Campaign

Gameplay

• Players can now access Weapon Lockers and Vehicle Terminals after enabling Linear Navigation Mode via the Accessibility tab in the Settings menu.

Menus

• After exiting a Custom Game on an Xbox console and selecting Continue from the Campaign menu, the Campaign difficulty will remain on whichever level the player had selected.

Network Co-Op

• Multiple networking improvements have been made to address desync during Network Co-Op Campaign:
  • When playing with an unlocked framerate on PC, rubberbanding and teleporting is now less likely to occur in the mission Warship Gbraakon .
  • Players are now less likely to fall through the floor of the gondola in the mission Conservatory.
  • Stuttering and teleporting are now less likely to occur after taking the teleporter to the elevator room in the mission Spire.
  • Rubberbanding and teleporting is now less likely to occur in the Pelican at the end of the mission Outpost Tremonius.

Multiplayer

Gameplay

• During the 10-second window before moving on to the next weapon level in Escalation Slayer, any kills made with the previous weapon loadout count for a full point, instead of half a point.
• When using the VK78 Commando Rifle, eliminating an enemy without missing a shot does not grant the Perfect medal. 

Menus

• On PC, Halo Infinite may crash when players Alt+Tab to a different screen while loading into a 343 Industries map in Forge.
• If the Control Panel menu is opened while viewing an Armor Core unlock notification, the Armor Core unlock notification will block the player's view of other menus.
  • Workaround: close and relaunch Halo Infinite.
• When players equip the default Chimera helmet, swap to a different Chimera helmet variation, then equip helmet attachments, the attachments may appear to apply to the previously selected helmet.
  • This visual issue occurs in the Armor Hall menu and will not carry over to multiplayer gameplay. 
• After accessing the Customize menu, yellow icons may appear on the top right corner of each Customization tile under the Body & AI and Spartan ID menus.
• When viewing the Post-Game Carnage Report, an "Outperformed" label is visible under the Kills and Death stats at the end of Escalation Slayer matches only.
• Once players complete their final Ranked placement match, the images for Ranked Rewards fail to appear on the Rank-Up screen.

Visual

• When the Target Framerate setting is set to 120 frames per second (FPS) on Xbox Series S and Series X consoles, the framerate does not exceed 90 FPS.

Custom Games

• When the player modifies game rules for a Custom Game, those changes may not visually appear on the Custom Game lobby screen but are applied during the Custom Game.

Custom Game Browser

• When players enter the Custom Game Browser and when viewing a session's Details menu, information regarding the session's game mode may not appear.
• After launching a BTB match in Custom Game Browser with the maximum number of Bots assigned to each team, once the lobby starts to fill with real players, all players will eventually be kicked out of the session and presented with a "Connection Lost" message.
• In the Custom Game Browser menu, the symbol for overall player count may appear as a magenta-colored icon.

Theater

• While watching a Theater film, the timeline shows an inaccurate match duration and players are unable to skip to different score events.
  • Theater films can still be viewed in their entirety when this issue occurs. The shortcuts for fast-forwarding and skipping backwards are still functional as well. 

Forge

• If Halo Infinite is launched before it has finished installing, Forge mode may appear accessible before it has finished installing.
• When a player deletes a Forge file, any player who Bookmarked that file will be unable to access their My Bookmarks menu.
  • Workaround: Uncheck any Bookmarked files via Halo Waypoint. Follow the steps below:
    1. Log on to HaloWaypoint.com.
    2. Click on Community, then Content Browser, then My Bookmarks.
    3. The Bookmarked files will likely appear as nameless files.
    4. Uncheck the Bookmarked files by clicking on the blue Bookmark symbol on the bottom right corner of the tile.
    5. Re-launch Halo Infinite and the deleted files should be gone from the My Bookmarks menu.
• Scaling certain Forerunner Primitive objects in Forge may result in the items becoming distorted and scaling on incorrect axes.
• On the multiplayer map Catalyst, a Winning Team Outro object is visible in Spartan Play mode.
• Dynamic objects, such as crates or traffic cones, are interactable in Forge during Play mode, but cannot be selected while editing a 343 Industries map.
• If players access the Object Browser in Forge and open the Rubble section under Accents, the game may crash when navigating the menu using the W and S keys.
• When playing on an Xbox One or a PC with low graphic settings, friendly and enemy character models may not appear at a closer distance than intended.
• If there are two players signed in on the same Xbox console under different accounts, they may be able to enter a Forge session together using split-screen. This feature is not officially supported in Halo Infinite.

Campaign

• If players exit and restart Halo Infinite multiple times during the mission The Tower, the door to the Chak 'Lok boss fight will not open.
  • Workaround: Restart the mission using Mission Replay via the Pause menu.
