NEW MULTIPLAYER ROTATIONAL PLAYLISTS
Famished Famished Falcons
The Famished Famished Falcons mode features four teams of three players racing to capture a single flag.
Each team starts in a tower over a bottomless void and the flag is found on a central platform between the four teams' towers. Teams must use their Falcon to fly to the central platform and bring the flag back to their base. Each player starts with the Grappleshot equipment and a Plasma Pistol, which can temporarily disable an enemy Falcon using a charged shot.
If a player becomes separated from their team while still on their team's tower, they can use the on-screen shortcut to teleport to the next available seat in their team's Falcon. This shortcut utilizes the new Custom Input feature, which also launched in this game update.

THIRD-PERSON TOGGLE IN FIREFIGHT
Prior to this game update, the Firefight staple playlist had a first-person and third-person variant of each game mode. With the introduction of the new Custom Input feature in this update, players can now use the shortcut listed on-screen to swap between first and third-person in the Firefight: King of the Hill game modes.
NOTE: By default, the Custom Input function is not mapped to any key or button. Players must map the custom input function via the Controller and Keyboard/Mouse tabs of the Settings menu. This function is listed at the bottom of these tabs. The recommended inputs are:
- Controller: The right button on the directional pad.
- Keyboard and mouse: The “1” key.

EXTRACTION MODE IMPROVEMENTS
The navigation markers for extraction sites in Extraction modes now identify each site with a letter. Previously, each site was marked with the same objective icon. The new letter icons will allow teams to better communicate about specific extraction sites during gameplay.
Additionally, a new Custom Game option is now available for the Extraction game mode: Simultaneous Extractions. When enabled, this option allows the attacking team to activate multiple extraction sites at once. When disabled, activating a single extraction site will result in the map's other extraction sites becoming temporarily unavailable. When this occurs, the other extraction sites will become available again once the first site's extraction is complete.
NEW FORGE MAPS IN PLAYLISTS
Three new community-made maps have been added to various matchmaking playlists in Halo Infinite.
Ecotone
Ecotone, which takes place in a desert-based UNSC facility, was made in Forge by Igrizhar, Yeehaw J24, JoValiant, Scrubulba, Mr IncrediJON, timmyforges. Ecotone is now available in the Banished Slayer matchmaking playlist.

FORGE IMPROVEMENTS
Radial Menu
Forge creators now have the ability to add a radial menu to their modes. The radial menu presents 2-8 options to players, with each option having a title, description, and an icon.
Screenshot of the radial menu in-game.
The radial menu and its options are configured via the node graph system in Forge's Edit Mode. This allows for the radial menu to be used for a variety of gameplay actions, including but not limited to loadout selection, spawn selection, or a buy menu.
Custom Input
Forge creators can now set a custom input function for a game mode. This custom input function can be set as a tap or hold action, and it can activate interactions such as the Radial Menu, user interface messages, or anything else that can be configured via the node graph system.
A new "Set Prompt Widget for Player" node in Forge allows Forge creators to create an in-game prompt that informs players of the mode's custom input functionality. Alternatively, this new node can be used to create general user interface messages that sit above the event feed.
This new feature has been implemented in two matchmaking playlists:
- Famished Famished Falcons: players can use the on-screen custom input prompt to teleport to the next available seat in their team's Falcon.
- Firefight: previously, the Firefight staple playlist had a first-person and third-person variant of each game mode. With the introduction of the Custom Input feature, players can now swap between first and third-person in any Firefight game mode.
New Forge Scripting Nodes
In addition to the nodes added alongside the radial menu and custom input features included in this update, a variety of new scripting nodes have been added to improve Forge creators' experience when designing multiplayer maps and modes:
- Improvements to mode and user interface (UI) messaging:
- "Print UI Message to Kill Feed" node, which allows for a text string to appear in the kill feed on players' heads-up display
- The "Adjust Personal Score" node now features a "Message" input pin that prints a message alongside the Personal Score value on players' heads-up displays.
- 500+ icons for navigation markers and radial menu images
- 1600+ new text strings for UI messages
- 20+ respawn message text strings
- 50+ UI message templates
- Several new object-centric nodes to assist with mode creation:
- "Spawn Mode Object" node: allows dynamic objects to be spawned as part of a Prefab object.
- "Add Item to Razorback" node: attaches a gameplay object (such as a flag or bomb) to the back of the Razorback
- "Is Item in Razorback" node: checks whether a gameplay object is already attached to the back of the Razorback
- "Get Is Observer" node: checks whether a player is on the Observer team
- Improvements to help with experiences using the AI toolkit:
- The "Compare Character Type" node now allows comparisons against Bosses
- "Cast to Character Type" node: allows for Character Type nodes to be used as apart of a Generic List.
- "Override AI Spawn Area" node: overrides the unit definition of an AI spawner with a different spawner on the map.
- Physics raycast nodes have been added to assist with mathematical calculations within the node graph:
- Get Player Look Static Raycast Result
- Get Player Look Dynamic Raycast Result
- Get Static Bullet Raycast Result
- Get Static Movement Raycast Result
- Get Dynamic Object Raycast Result

Known Issues
With this update, the team has added multiple new issues to our Known Issues lists:
Multiplayer
- After pressing start on the Halo Infinite splash screen, players may encounter a looping "Profile Error" message that prompts them to sign into their Xbox account.
- Workaround 1: When this occurs, close and relaunch Halo Infinite. If the error is still looping, use the workaround 2 below.
- Workaround 2: Complete either workaround detailed in the "Cannot Sign in to Halo Infinite on Steam, Stuck in a Sign in Loop" article then relaunch Halo Infinite. If the issue is still occurring after completing both workarounds, submit a Bug Report for additional troubleshooting from a Halo Support agent.
- By default, the Custom Input function is not mapped to any key or button. Players must map the custom input function via the Controller and Keyboard/Mouse tabs of the Settings menu. This function is listed at the bottom of these tabs. The recommended inputs are:
- Controller: The right button on the directional pad.
- Keyboard and mouse: The “1” key.
- Due to a stability issue, matches using the Neutral Bomb and Multi Bomb Assault game modes will not launch. As a result, all variants of Neutral Bomb and Multi Bomb Assault have temporarily been removed from matchmaking playlists. The One Bomb variant of Assault is unaffected and remains available in both Custom Games and matchmaking playlists.
-
- A future Halo Infinite patch will address this stability issue and restore these game mode variants to expected functionality and availability. Stay tuned to @Halo and @HaloSupport on Twitter for the latest news on upcoming game updates.
-
-
The map Smallhalla has been temporarily removed from matchmaking playlists due to a stability issue.
-
- A future Halo Infinite patch will address this stability issue and Smallhalla will be re-added to matchmaking playlists. Stay tuned to @Halo and @HaloSupport on Twitter for the latest news on upcoming game updates.
-
- The pause menu and scoreboard menu may display blank map and mode author strings when playing on maps and modes without Forge authors.
- A weapon rack in the Dry Base area of the map Forbidden immediately begins its respawn countdown once its Vestige Carbine is picked up, rather than waiting till the weapon is out of ammo or despawned.
- The UA/Philes shoulder pads are not visible in the customization menus or in-game.
- A future Halo Infinite update will restore these shoulder pads to their normal appearance. Stay tuned to @Halo and @HaloSupport on Twitter for the latest news on upcoming game updates.
- When playing Halo Infinite with the resolution set to 4K on PC or Xbox, the S7 Sniper's bullet trail effect and the Vestige Carbine's reload effects may not be visible.
- Theater film playback pauses whenever a player in the match opens a radial menu.
- Workaround: Use the listed shortcuts in Theater mode to skip past the point at which a player opens a radial menu.
- A future Halo Infinite update will improve this film playback behavior. Stay tuned to @Halo and @HaloSupport on Twitter for the latest news on upcoming game updates.
- Matches played prior to installing this game update may be listed in Theater mode's match history menu, however, attempting to view these films will result in an error message. Some of the improvements in this update required us to invalidate Theater films created prior to this update.
Forge
- Using any of the nodes listed below in multiple node graph scripts will result in only one script functioning:
- On Custom Input Tap
- On Custom Input Hold
- On Menu Item Selected
- On Player Started Sprinting
- On Player Stopped Sprinting
- Radial menus may appear during gameplay without players invoking them.
- Workaround: If this issue is occurring in a specific Forge-created game mode, the mode's Forge creator may need to update their script to ensure that the radial menu is set to hide once players make a selection or close the menu.

- Using the "Remove Menu Item At Index" node may result in the wrong radial menu item being removed as well as removing any menu items that were added to the index after the now-removed item was added.
- Workaround: If this issue occurs, the mode's Forge creator may need to update their script to ensure that menu nodes are removed from the index in the reverse order that they were added. In other words, this issue can be avoided if the removed menu item was the last item added to the radial menu.

- Players are unable to move vehicles created by a "Spawn Mode Object" node that's part of a game mode Prefab.

- Setting the "Push Splash Player" node to a duration of 60 seconds or longer will result in the user interface message appearing on-screen at all times.
- Using the "Get Generic Item at Index" node to get a "Radial Menu Index" created by a "Radial Menu" node results in selection issues when using the in-game radial menu.
-
Multiple instances created by spawning the same Mode Object multiple times with the "Spawn Mode Object" node will all be treated as if they were the same object.
- Workaround: To have multiple instances of an object created with the "Spawn Mode Object" node, use the "Clone Object" node on the output object of the "Spawn Mode Object" node.
