NEW OPERATION: SNOWBOUND
The Snowbound Operation, which launches alongside this update, features a free 20-tier reward track and Shop bundles inspired by winter holidays.
As with previous Operation Passes, this Operation's reward track will be available to all players for free during its 4-week duration. Players can progress through the reward track by earning Match XP in multiplayer matchmaking or Custom Games. The following premium offers are also available:
- For 500 Credits:
- Permanent access to the full Operation pass.
- Exclusive customization items: “Offworld Holiday” Weapon Model for the VK78 Commando Rifle and the “Everything Nice” Weapon Coating.
- When the Operation Pass is equipped, an extra Challenge slot.
- While the Operation is active, bonus Match XP during multiplayer matchmaking.
- For 2,000 Credits:
- Everything listed above in the 500 Credits offer.
- Instantly unlock all 20 tiers of the Operation Pass.
Once the Operation's 4-week window has concluded and it is no longer available for free, the Operation Pass will be accessible via the two premium offers outlined above.

NEW FEATURED PLAYLIST: 1V1 SHOWDOWN
1v1 Showdown is a new game mode that is now available in Custom Games and a dedicated playlist. 1v1 Showdown pits two players against each other in a best-of-5-rounds match.

The first player to win 3 rounds wins the match. Each round consists of a series of face-offs, with the first player to reach 500 points winning the round. 100 points are awarded for each kill or each capture of a central zone. After a player is killed or a point is captured during a face-off, both players are respawned with their weapons and equipment reset.
At the start of each round, a random modifier such as increased weapon damage or movement speed may be applied to both players. This gameplay modifier will be applied to a random round within the match’s 5 rounds. The motion tracker is disabled during 1v1 Showdown matches unless it is re-enabled by the random modifier.
1v1 Showdown matches will utilize the Showdown Arena map, custom built for the mode. Each new round teleports the players to a new combat arena with a new loadout and randomly selected Power Weapons available from on-map dispensers. The combat arenas are sections of existing Halo Infinite maps recreated and reskinned with a sleek new look.

The 1v1 Showdown playlist is currently scheduled to rotate out of the featured playlist slot and into a permanent staple slot on January 7th. For more information on the 1v1 Showdown playlist, visit the “1v1 Showdown” blog or the Halo Infinite Multiplayer Playlists page on Halo Waypoint.
NEW FORGE MAP IN PLAYLISTS: SNOWBOUND
Snowbound is now available in Custom Games and various matchmaking playlists. Snowbound was created in Forge and is based on the Halo 3 multiplayer map Snowbound, albeit with tweaks for the Halo Infinite sandbox. For example, weapons now respawn via Weapon Racks and Equipment Pads are placed throughout the map.

Resolved Issues
Many improvements come from Halo Insider and Halo Support tickets submitted by our community. Thank you for participating and please keep submitting tickets!
Halo Support tickets help the team here at Halo Studios understand what issues you would like to see addressed in future Halo Infinite updates. The development team is actively working on a variety of game updates and improvements based on both player feedback and bug report tickets.
If you experience a crash in Halo Infinite, please include as much of the following information as possible:
- Step-by-step instructions on what caused the crash. The more specific, the better!
- Attach an up-to-date DxDiagfile. To create a DxDiagfile, type "dxdiag" into the Start menu's search bar, press the Enter key, then click "Save All Information" when the DirectX Diagnostic Tool pops up.
- Include the Problem Report from the Control Panel app. To find this, open the Control Panel and enter "problem reports" in the search bar. Click "View all problem reports" then locate the recent Halo Infinite report. Double click on this Halo Infinite entry then use the "Copy to clipboard" button near the bottom of the window. Finally, paste this text into your ticket's comments.
The following issues were resolved in the December 3, 2024, update:
- Players on PC are now less likely to encounter the following error when attempting to start a matchmaking search or join a Custom Game lobby: “One or more members of your fireteam is on PC and has invalid Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) authorization.”
- The Green Man Armor Coating has been updated to bring its appearance more in line with Master Chief’s appearance in Halo 2.
- The Master Chief Mark VI Armor Kit has been updated to improve how Armor Coatings are applied to its various armor and undersuit pieces.
- Improved stability for Halo Infinite on both Xbox consoles and PC.
Thank you to all players who submitted a ticket on these or other in-game issues. Stay tuned to @HaloSupport on Twitter for the latest news on upcoming releases.
