New Features
This update brings the Match Composer, changes to the Daily Challenge, and several bug fixes to Halo Infinite. For a full list of this update’s bug fixes, see the Resolved Issues section below.
Match Composer
The new Match Composer feature allows players to select which game modes within a matchmaking playlist they'd like to play. Deselecting a mode will result in players not matching into that game mode. Please note that selecting a small number of modes may result in longer matchmaking search times due to a lower number of available matches that fit the selected criteria.

The following playlists utilize the Match Composer feature:
- Big Team Battle: For those who prefer a bigger battle. Here you can curate between standard BTB, BTB Heavies, and a variety of other BTB modes.
- Firefight Normal: Take the fight to the Banished. Curate your Firefight experience with different modes on Normal difficulty.
- Firefight Heroic: Take the fight to the Banished. Curate your Firefight experience with different modes on Heroic difficulty.
- Firefight Legendary: Take the fight to the Banished. Curate your Firefight experience with different modes on Legendary difficulty.
- Infection: Infect the enemy team or survive until the time limit. Players killed by Infected become Infected.
- Quick Play: All things 4v4 from Team Slayer to Husky Raid. Curate your preferred 4v4 experiences here.
- Rumble Pit: A mix of Slayer variants and other Free For All modes. You're on your own, Spartan.
- Squad Battle: Your traditional fix for large scale warfare. Curate your experience with Team Slayer and objective gametypes.
- Team Doubles: Assorted games for teams of two. Work together or die alone; teamwork is critical here.
Use the instructions below to navigate to and use the Match Composer feature in-game:

- Navigate back to the playlist's menu after selecting the desired modes.

Daily Challenge Update
When the Banished Honor Update launched on April 30, the Daily Challenge for completing a matchmade game was updated to award 250 Spartan Points (SP) rather than 500 XP. With today’s new update, a second Daily Challenge has been implemented to award 500 XP after completing a second matchmade game in a single day.
Both Daily Challenges reset each day at 10am PT.

Resolved Issues
The following issues were resolved in the June 4, 2024, update:
- Improved stability of suspending Halo Infinite on Xbox One and Xbox One S consoles.
- Using the “Buy Item” shortcut button listed along the bottom of the Exchange menu no longer results in a prompt to use or purchase Credits.
- The Credits and Spartan Points balance counters have been removed from the top right corner of the post-match rewards menu to avoid confusion about earned rewards.
- These balance counters can be viewed in the Shop menus.
- Updated PC stability reporting.
