Understanding Stats
There are many stats you can access on Halo Waypoint, below are explanations of the most common.
- Accuracy: The percentage of shots that hit enemy targets. Measures a player’s shooting precision factoring in how many short connect versus how many are fired. A higher percentage indicates better accuracy.
- Assists: When a player helps in killing an enemy by dealing significant damage without getting the final blow.
- Betrayals: When a player kills a teammate via friendly fire or striking them with a vehicle. This is something to avoid, as it can lead to penalties in game.
- Callout Assists: When an enemy you mark is killed by a teammate. This stat highlights communication and coordination between teammates.
- Damage Dealt: How much damage a player takes from enemy attacks during a match.
- Driver Assists: Earned when a player drives a vehicle, and their passenger kills an enemy.
- EMP Assists: Assists earned by disabling an enemy’s vehicle with an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse), helping teammates finish off an enemy. EMP weapons are: Plasma Pistol, Disruptor, Shock Rifle, and Dynamo Grenades.
- Headshot Kills: Kills achieved by shooting an enemy in the head.
- Hijacks: When a player forcibly removes an enemy from a vehicle and takes control of it.
- Impulse (Imp) Assists: When a player assists in a kill by using a tool or environmental factor such as throwing a grenade or fusion coil that weakens an enemy, allowing a teammate to finish them off.
- Kills: The number of enemy players a player killed during a match.
- Kills/Deaths (KD): The ratio of kills to death a player has in a match. A KD greater than 1 means more kills than deaths, while less than 1 means more deaths thank kills.
- Kills/Deaths/Assists (KDA): An expanded stat of the KD stat that includes assists as part of the players kill count.
- Melee Kills: Kills achieved by killing an enemy player at close range using a melee attack or melee weapon such as the Energy Sword or Gravity Hammer.
- Objective Time: How much time a player spends working towards objectives, such as carrying the flag or holding the Oddball.
- Passenger Assists: When a player riding as a passenger in a vehicle helps by shooting enemies while another player drives.
- Power Weapon Kills: Kills made using special, limited-ammo weapons such as the Rocket Launcher, or Sniper Rifle.
- Self-Destructions: When a player accidentally kills themselves, often through environmental hazards or misusing explosives such as grenades or rockets.
- Vehicle Destroys: The number of enemy vehicles a player successfully destroys during a match. This can involve direct fire, grenades, or power weapons.
