Global mute and chat settings
Default mute and chat settings can be configured in Audio Settings.
- View the Control Panel or Pause Menu:
- Press ESC or F1 on keyboard or
- Press Menu
on Xbox controller or
- On the Main menu select the gear icon
- Select Settings
- Go to the Audio tab
- Scroll down to Communication
- Voice chat mode sets your own settings, you microphone can be open, disabled, push-to-talk or toggle-to-talk
- Push-to-talk button mapping can be altered in Keyboard/Mouse Settings
- Please refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for more information about push-to-talk or toggle-to-talk features that may be available on your devices
- Match chat sets whether you want to be able to get voice and text chat from players in the game
- Voice chat mode sets your own settings, you microphone can be open, disabled, push-to-talk or toggle-to-talk
How to mute individual players
You can mute players at any time in a multiplayer game, including while your team poses before the match begins.
- Go to the Pause Menu
- On Keyboard/Mouse, press ESC
- On Controller, press Menu
- Open the Social menu
- On Keyboard/Mouse select Tab
- On Controller, press View
- You will see a list of player names with muted or unmuted speaker icons
- Select an unmuted player
- This will open the player options menu for that player
- Select Mute
You can unmute a player you have muted, but you cannot unmute a player that has muted themselves.
